Section 8 Consulting LLC ("we," "us") operates boringrich.com and publishes Boring Rich by Section 8 Karim. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what choices you have.

1. Information you give us

- Order information: name, email address, phone number (if provided), billing and shipping address, and what you ordered.
- Opt-in information: email address and any details you submit through forms — for example, to receive the free first chapter or the Deal Analyzer.
- Communications: messages you send us by email, phone, or form, including support requests and reviews.
- Payment information: processed by our payment provider.

We receive confirmation of payment and limited details such as the last four digits and card type. We do not store full card numbers.

2. Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site we and our service providers may collect: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, links clicked, approximate location derived from IP, and dates and times of access — through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies.

3. Cookies and tracking

We use:- Essential cookies — required for the Site and checkout to function.
- Analytics cookies — to understand how the Site is used (for example, Google Analytics).
- Advertising and conversion pixels — such as Meta, Google, and similar platforms, to measure ad performance and show relevant ads.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with:- Service providers who work on our behalf — payment processing, book printing and fulfilment, shipping carriers, email and SMS platforms, hosting, CRM, analytics, and advertising platforms.

- Affiliated business: Section 8 Training, operated by the same company, where you've opted in to hear about its educational programs.
- Legal and safety: where required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some advertising cookie activity may be considered "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under certain state privacy laws; you can opt out as described in Section 8.

6. Third-party retailers

If you buy the Book from Amazon or another retailer, that purchase is subject to their privacy policy, and we generally do not receive your contact information from them.

7. Data retention

We keep order and tax records for as long as required by law (generally at least seven years), marketing contact information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and support correspondence for as long as needed to resolve the matter and maintain our records.

8. Your choices and rights

- Marketing: unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email, reply STOP to texts, or email us.
- Access, correction, deletion, and portability: email admin@boringrich.com and we'll respond as required by applicable law.

We may need to verify your identity first.
- Opt out of targeted advertising or "sharing": email us or use the cookie preferences on the Site.
- Non-discrimination: we won't deny you products or charge you a different price for exercising these rights.

If you are in a jurisdiction with additional rights (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, or the EEA/UK), those rights apply to you and you may also have the right to appeal a decision we make about your request, or to complain to your data protection authority.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted transmission at checkout and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

The Site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

11. International visitors

The Site is operated from the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. The "last updated" date will change, and material changes take effect when posted.
